TESTIMONIALS

I wish to acknowledge the strong support provided to Jervis Bay Sailing Club after the club chose SailSys software to assist in producing regatta results in a more seamless.

The initial set up of the software was supported by a personal site visit by a SailSys representative.

During the acceptance and administration of entries, further phone and offsite support was provided in a very timely and responsive manner.

The final gold-plated offer was SailSys attending our first major two day regatta with 50 entries across various race divisions and yardstick handicaps, making the number crunching quite complex.

This service was most valuable in ensuring regatta outcomes were achieved with great confidence along with club users being coached in driving the software in real a race management environment.

The initial promise of direct and prompt product support has been fully satisfied and delivered.

JBSC will continue down the path of utilising the SailSys software and further honing our skills in its application and usage, confident with our new learnings and the knowledge that support is only a phone call away.

JBSC is happy to recommend this software to other clubs who need race management tools that work and are supported in an immediate and responsive fashion.

We are very pleased with the move to SailSys. The best features are its intuitive front-end, the easy online access for race management and the time saving for handicapping!
— Martin Hickling - Avalon Sailing Club
I can’t remember if I’ve already said it or not, but T H A N K S so much for the document handling feature! It makes my life _so much easier_! I especially love the feature whereby when approving compliances I see which ones I’ve already previously accepted, so I don’t have to waste time clicking into each document again. Such a timesaver, very much appreciated!!

If you told me 6 months ago that I’d be running a two day, 105 boat regatta across 6 divisions plus a team’s trophy.... I’d think you barmy.
Yay for SailSys.
— Haydn Rough - WMSC (St Helena Cup)
I like the objectivity and “national basis’ of the handicap system. We will all (in MCC) effectively now have an Australian PHS handicap that is transportable.

Townsville Yacht Club has been using SailSys for race management and handicapping since 2019. The system has streamlined our processes for race entry and accurate calculation and rapid presentation of results. We use a roster of volunteer race officials, who have found SailSys easy to use on the water with a tablet for recording starters and finish times. The team at SailSys have provided outstanding support to help us initially set up and subsequently tune the system so that handicaps adjust appropriately for our mixed fleet of sports boats to racing and cruising keelboats. Overall, adoption of SailSys has been a significant benefit to race operations at TYC.

On behalf of the whole Committee, I’d like to express our profound thanks for your splendid efforts throughout the Regatta.
It ended up being a much more difficult task than we both had imagined, but you met that challenge at every turn and provided us with a results and handicapping service that was admired by every competitor.

Thanks again for all your patience and expertise. It was a vital – and much appreciated – contribution.
— David Salter, Admiral's Cup Anniversary Regatta Committee

SailSys is particularly good at recording results in close finishes which happens regularly during the Etchells regattas. When 4-6 boats finish within 5 seconds of each other, and presuming that the RO can actually see their sail numbers, it is almost impossible to manually record all sail numbers AND the times. The system allows the operator to click the time grabber which then stores the series of finish times which we can then go back and match against the sail number sequences. In the ‘good old days’, we used to spend 10-30 minutes listening to the ROs recording of the finish and trying to match the sail numbers and times and we would invariably end with … well, if we got it wrong, the competitors will let us know. This doesn’t happen anymore.
The thing I like most about the system is that you can fix EVERY mistake – wrong/missed sail numbers, times, yacht status, start times.
