TESTIMONIALS

Working for a charity that has a few yachts spread over a couple of different states, that are just starting to race again, I find that SailSys allows me to manage crew and racing simply.

Its an easy system and help is always on hand when needed.

Many of the boat crews from Wednesday afternoon racing at the RPAYC have expressed how much they like SailSys compared to the previous handicap system.
They especially like the fact that we get the race results as soon as we’re back in dock, rather than previously waiting an hour or so.
Everyone agrees it’s made sailing much more competitive and even, and no one whinges about their handicap anymore.
Keep up the good work.

I have been talking to several boat captains and crew bosses who have been using SailSys this season and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
The promise of having to input crew into a system once and then being able to have their details “on file” and ready to pick and click them into another race or series is finally a reality.
No small feat I’m sure.

The recent email blast that prompted most crews to join a crew or fill out a SailSys profile has forced most of us that run multiple boats in multiple series to do some long needed housekeeping of our crew registers while also giving the crews more control over their details and data.

SailSys is infinitely easier to use and has saved us from the usual herding cats scenario of the past.
keep up the good work.

We have raced Fidelis with many clubs over the last 25 years : inshore, twilights, offshore, the Sydney to Hobart, to Lord Howe Island and in local races in New Zealand.

Fidelis is now close to 60 years old and competes in races with other “Classics’ but also with many Club fleets around the harbour.

We like the SailSys system and its ease of use. For us the race entry or series entry, the addition of Crew lists in COVID times, and the one time upload of yacht details to be quite straightforward and now time saving.

We like the variety of our racing, with or without spinnaker, using different courses and conditions and through different seasons and the data base for us seems consistent and stable.

More importantly we can now see that “fair” handicaps are transparent and readily compared across different Clubs.

We are members and race regularly in Sydney with RSYS, RANSA, RPEYC and the CYCA who have all embraced the SailSys package to our mutual advantage.

We recommend the SailSys handicap and race management system to Clubs and Skippers.

I have been competing in RSYS sailing events for over 20 years under the current handicapping system. During that period, I have owned 3 yachts. Each time a new boat was entered for races I believe the handicap assessed was fair and equitable. That assessment gave me the opportunity to sail the boat to the best of my ability and achieve some good results. If I did too well, the handicap was adjusted appropriately. The system encourages sailors to try harder each week. This is the secret to good PHS handicapping. I wholly support the SailSys system used at RSYS.
